Update 30th May 2018. Tips of the day. Use a sharp self tapping screw to depress the protrusion after using diamond punch to punch hole on veg tan leather. This will minimize rough edges during stitching work. Tips of the day ** there is another workaround is use diamond punch until the other face side can see the first punch tip mark. Then on the other side to punch hole again using diamond punch. hopefully this approach can help resolve issue with uneven punch mark on project. This is sun glass casing using veg tan leather. Without this stitching pony device it is very difficult and time consuming to perform saddle stitching method which is very fundamental. It make as more comfortable and less stressful when performing stitching work. Without this basic tool use as "third hand" make it very useful tool to perform stitching work. It can be frustrating and take longer to perform stitching without it. Use new stitching pony for new sun glass casing Note however the design on the gripping part was overlook and can cause other issue. Like uneven part the gripping part might "block" due to even surface of stitching parts.  Cut off design for veg tan leather Inner layer parts, layout the inner parts to check it meet requirement. This is part of the process before gluing the parts together.
